Quick Command
Find records, navigate, create, and run actions from one keyboard launcher — open it with ⌘K.
Quick Command is the fastest way to move around Forz. Open it from anywhere, then type to find a record, jump to a screen, create something new, or run an action — all from the keyboard.
Opening Quick Command
Open Quick Command in any of these ways:
Press ⌘K (Mac) or Ctrl K (Windows) from any screen.
Press / when you are not typing in a field.
Click the ⚡ Quick Command button in the top navigation or the sidebar.
Press Esc to close it at any time.
What you see when it opens
Before you type, Quick Command shows a short, glanceable list instead of every option:
Recent — the records and actions you used most recently, so you can pick up where you left off.
Quick actions — common starting points such as New Job, New Estimate, New Customer, New Invoice, Inbox, and Customers.
Start typing to search everything else.
Finding a record
Open Quick Command and start typing a name, number, or other detail.
Results appear as you type, grouped by type — Jobs, Customers, Estimates, Invoices, and other records.
Use the ↑ and ↓ arrow keys to move through the results, then press Enter to open the highlighted one.
Expected result: selecting a result opens that record.
Narrowing to one type
To search within a single type, start your query with a type prefix and a colon. For example, type job:130 to search only Jobs, or customer:smith to search only Customers. A scope chip appears to show the active filter.
Creating, navigating, and running actions
Quick Command does more than search:
Create — type the name of what you want to create (for example New Job or new invoice) and press Enter to open the form.
Navigate — type a screen name (for example Customers or Calendar) to jump straight there.
Run actions — type an action such as Toggle theme to switch between light and dark, or Customize sidebar to open sidebar settings.
Keyboard shortcuts
⌘K / Ctrl K — open or close Quick Command.
↑ / ↓ — move through the list.
Enter — open the highlighted item.
Esc — close Quick Command.
Nothing is selected when the list first opens, so pressing Enter right away does nothing. Press ↓ once to highlight the first item.
Permissions
Quick Command only shows what you can already access. Records, create actions, and screens you do not have permission for never appear. Your Recent list is kept on the device you are using, so it does not follow you to another computer.
